Der alte Mann steckt im Umzugsstress.
...das hier. Umzug ist untertrieben. Es geht hier um eine ganze Bausanierung, sie natürlich nicht so läuft, wie sie es sollte.
Ach so...ich hab damals als wir Haus hergerichtet haben (2009) auch ein ganzes Jahr keinen Sport gemacht.
Haha... ne, die freie Stunde ab und zu muss sein, sonst werde ich zum Intensivtäter.
Also, nachdem das Leben derzeit Purzelbäume schlägt (die nicht immer ohne blaue Flecke abgehen), hier mal ein Update aus der Hölle (auf Englisch, rauskopiert aus einer FB-Gruppe, in der ich ebenfalls aktiv bin):

I‘ve been working 15h today. We‘ll be moving to our new house next Friday, and due to a broken water pipe all our careful planning flew out of the window. Consequently, the house is still half a construction site, and this weighs down hard on me. My wife is very sick which is a long term issue, my daughter has the flu, and my son is in the middle of puberty. So, hey, happy man here. But anyway, love and a good sense of humor and a healthy dose of OSU will carry us through it all. I‘m confident.
Anyway, after packing the entire day and carrying things around the house, I did the following:
Bench Press:
- Barbell: Very often
- 40kg: 10
- 60kg: 10
- 70kg: 10/10/10
Deadlifts:
- 70kg: 5
- 90kg: 5
- 110kg: 5
- 130kg: 5
- 150kg: 5
- 170kg: 3
- 190kg: 3
- 200kg: 1
Kettlebell Clean & Press @ 24kg: 5/5/5
Kettlebell Rows @ 24kg: 10/10/10
I wanted to use the 32kg KB, but after 2 reps my elbow told me to fuck off, so I used the 24kg KB which worked fine.

We switched each round, and the guy who got to make a break did 15 swings. I used the 32kg KB.

Just a quick session in the old house. My home gym has been cleared out and fully cleaned, and all my gear is sitting in the garage waiting to get moved to the new house, so I trained in the garage. Layered clothing does the trick, and it felt a little like back in Hamburg where I used to train in the garage for years.

Probably the worst session in 2018. I felt weak and am glad I‘m done. Anyway, I did the work. It’s a weird feeling to know that this will be the last night in this house and that I will never live, laugh, love and train at this place again. Sentimental me.
Time to move on.

Dojo
Some folks will grade to Ikkyu soon, so today we went through the grading syllabus. Basically this was 45 minutes ido geiko, followed by all required kata. Sweaty fun. I was quite gassed in the end and happy that we skipped the Kumite part.

That went surprisingly well.
I trained in the new living room between cardboard boxes and general chaos. Weird, but awesome.

A lot of ido geiko and kata. Nothing special to report here other than that the Nidan Geri at the end of Kanku Dai really messes with my knee.
Good strong session that had me sitting after class with tunnel vision and a stupid grin.
